Airborne Activism
What if activists could travel from far and wide to help solve acute emergencies wherever they occur? Many problems could be solved and even lives saved. "Train Local, Act Global" sums up airborne activism.
The Origin of Airborne Activism
Airborne activists were inspired by the frustration of living in a "safe" state during a presidential election and the many volunteers who answered the call of political crises like the Ukrainian Orange Revolution [1] and flooding in New Orleans.
Touring Events
Airborne skills are essential for successful touring.
Mission Flexibility
Every activist must volunteer themselves for the deployments they wish to make. Many Airborne qualify to prepare themselves to answer unexpected and urgent distress calls of those in need. They don't know what skills might be required, but if they see an opportunity to help, they'll be on the next flight equipped and trained to do what it takes to do the right thing.
ACTSPEC Airborne Kit
ACTSPEC kit is especially important for Airborne activists. A complete and thought-out Third Line packed kit is particulary essential because you will rely on that which you bring with you to persevere effectively in the field.

A two-person team can share a vehicle for buddy road trips but the lack of personal space will be exasperated, but at least you have company to back you up.
Your shower facility should be a no-questions-asked arrangement. Make sure you have a clear right to use it. Don't have to sneak in and out of your shower every day like a criminal.
Your politics and your host If you have differences with your host, do not make them an issue! Even if you are campaigning on the issue at the time, arguing with your host is rude and jeapordizes your arrangement by creating needless friction.
