Appraising

A housing appraiser will generally look first at the condition of the roofing on a house and the surrounding houses to identify maintanence and upkeep.

Pay attention to roofing for a few weeks and then make notes on the types of neighborhoods that have a varying percentage of houses with blatent roofing damage.

I love going through piles and boxes of things and trying to find something useful in them.  It's like treasure hunting kinda, though sometimes it's more like excavation of the past.

I know a little bit about antiques, old manufacturers, technology, collectibles, and houses.
