Well we finally got on rant and all the little niggles appear to be sorted - the show is on the air, on a two hour time slot at both 22:00 on Fridays, and 16:00 on Tuesdays.

The wierd thing is, I seem to have achieved my main goal. A year ago when we started doing R4nger5 radio, My co-host, Graafen, and I were fantasizing about being on Rant, as being our ultimate goal. Now we are, it seems a little unreal.

However, managing all the enquiries, sourcing new music and new artists seems to be a pretty much full-time job - Lucky I don't have much of a social life - LOL

 We've had some really great feedback, and are now prepping episode 25.

I think we're beginning to get the hang of it now.......

Hi there! It's been a while since I posted, but I'm still on board.

I've been working pretty hard on the radio show recently, and it appears to have paid off. I got a few e-mails from Cimmerian, over at Rant Media, and it looks like R4nger5 Radio is getting a slot, on RRtalk on Friday nights.

This is very cool.

I have been a fan of theirs for a few years, now, and it is great to get recognition from people you admire.

This is one of those high points, like when we got the nod to proceed with our 'tales from the afternow' project from Sean Kennedy, and when I got feedback from AP about the show.

All the hard work is starting to pay off.

So i haven't been watching TV or playing games. The show, and listener feedback have been what I've been doing with my spare time.

That and, interestingly, my company have been training me to be a technical trainer - lits of interesting teacher training and psychology skills to pass on to you guys, when I get a moment.

I'm feeling pretty together, today.

Over the last 2 days I have stripped down the studio, rewired it, tidied it, sorted out the equipment and repositioned everything.

On the digital side, our shows have been brought up to date, reorganised and generally sorted out. I produced a new 'tales from the afternow' type audio book episode, and wrote, played and recorded the music for it.

We now have Skype capability, meaning that anyone from anywhere in the world can call in and help present a show!

V.V.Cool Hopfully we'll get some interesting guest presenters as a result.

Basically, I get empowered, then I empower others. 

The only downer was that my server died on me, but the shows are still available from a number of sources. 

Getting more sorted out on the pod cast front.

The studio layout is getting more organised, and the server is starting to behave again. Now just got to get all the junk out of the studio room and re cable everything and mark it all up, so I can clearly see which system is which on the mixer.

Thanks to everyone who has listened to the shows and given me some feedback. It really helps to know that at least someone is listening to it. Some of the guys on the rant forums have started listening to it, and I might apply to them to get a slot on the rant media rotation, once I have a good head start, or can figure out a slot that I can keep up every week.

The r4nger5 server is back up, and will be getting a full overhaul and spring clean, at least the site will. There are now 3 archives: Newsreal, r4nger5 radio and 10n3 r4nger5 all have their own archives, as well as the archive.org backup.

The r4nger5 team have a whole lot planned for the year, including a TV show, a road trip video and lots more of the pod casts, with a lot more new people joining the cause.

Sorry if anyone has been trying to contact my server. It's been out of commission for a few weeks, due to a catastrophic HDD failure - this should be rectified soon, and everything should be back and on line.

If you are desperate for some more r4nger5 media, the 2 newest episoeds, r4nger5 radio ep9 and 10n3 r4nger5 ep4 have been uploaded to the Internet Archive.

Hust go to www.archive.org, and run a search for 'r4nger5' and all the completeds episodes will be available for either download or live streaming.

 Want to be on the show? send me a private message, and we'll sort something out. If you're local, we'll arrange a meet, or if you're too far, we'll sort it out via sype.

New Video, it's Here.

It was inspired by a piece of spoken word that we used for episode 8 of r4nger5 radio, all about the formation of the FBI from the Pinkerton Detective Agency.

This is just a general shout out to anyone in the world that has any music, or spoken word material that they'd like to get a slightly wider audience.

Our net cast, r4nger5 radio, is starting to take off, and whils we have a wide variety of music, that we have permissions to use, we can always use more stuff from interested people.

The updates on the R4nger5 site continue apace.

Graafen and I will hopefully be sorting out the raq server within the next few weeks. This may mean we'll be setting up a webcam in the studio for when we're broadcasting the show. If anyone has any ideas about how to get the show out live, that would be a help.

New plans for the radio shows include: Skype interviews, live broadcasting, open source merchandise and more interviews. If you can think of any ideas to help out, it would be massively appreciated.

It's kind of a shock that we're getting it all together, and we have a grand total of 9 shows in the can. The first ones suffer from some technical difficulties, but hopefully those are a thing of the past. This project was once seriously dissed by some friends of mine, who said I'd never get it done, but here we are, getting ready for our 10th recording tonight.

Thanks to everyone who has helped thus far. Including all the musicians who gave permission for their stuff to be used, Edmund for the gift of his time, as well as the raq server that the site lives on, Graafen for being there all this while, all the guests on the shows and obviously, all the people who have visited the site and downloaded the mp3's.

It is kind of interesting that people will respond and support such a project. Even though there are a surprising amount of people who will try to dissuade you when you mention an idea to them.

What I'd like to do is in May, the fist anniversary of the site, Is get some kind of meet set up. Now we have a bit of a community, It would be great to get a 'one year on' set of goals organised. I want to get projects people have undertaken, media people have produced, and responses all together, and turn the Ideas from my first journal post into reality. I know it's 6 months from now, but that should give you all plenty of time to get something sorted out.

I'd Like to hear from any empowered people, WOGs and other people into personal growth who want some kind of meet in the north of England to get in touch, so we can figure out how many people would be interested in attending.

Things can only go from strength to strength with all your support.

(possibly from across the pond) I must say I'm really impressed by this site. I'm sort of doing the same thing with my web site and MP3 cast (I hate calling them pod casts), along with some likeminded friends.

I found out about this place through one of the newer Newsreal shows from Rant Media, as well as the most recent of SKTFM's live journal entries.

Looking forward to having a really good look around at the site and passing the site and some of the ideas to my current listener ship. Expect many more visitors.
