"You get what you pay for - I expected these boots to be awesome from everything I've heard about Danner quality, and I was not disappointed. They were comfortable right out of the box requiring NO break in time at all. The one thing that was a little bit of a buzz kill was how soft the leather was. I wore these out camping in Big Bear, and there are a few scuffs here and there from running around in the underbrush. Then again, they're not designed as hiking/outdoors boots.
