Definitions of Evolution on the Web:
development: a process in which something passes by degrees to a different stage (especially a more advanced or mature stage); "the development of his ideas took many years"; "the evolution of Greek civilization"; "the slow development of her skill as a writer" (biology) the sequence of events involved in the evolutionary development of a species or taxonomic group of organisms wordnet.princeton.edu/perl/webwn
In the life sciences, evolution is a change in the traits of living organisms over generations, including the emergence of new species. Since the development of modern genetics in the 1940s, evolution has been defined more specifically as a change in the frequency of alleles in a population from one generation to the next.In other fields evolution is used more generally to refer to any process of change over time. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evolution

Evolution, the International Journal of Organic Evolution, is a bimonthly scientific journal that publishes significant new results of empirical or theoretical investigations concerning facts, processes, mechanics, or concepts of evolutionary phenomena and events. Evolution is published by the Society for the Study of Evolution. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evolution_(journal)
Evolution in the fictional world of the Pokémon video game franchise refers to a sudden change of form in a Pokémon, usually accompanied by a dramatic increase in statistics. It should be noted that this is not an evolution in a biological sense, but rather the metamorphosis of an individual creature. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evolution_(Pokemon)
In philosophy and metaphysics, the development of the universe, and of consciousness through time, is referred to as evolution. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evolution_(philosophy)
Evolution or Novell Evolution (formerly Ximian Evolution, prior to Novell's 2003 acquisition of Ximian) is the official personal information manager and workgroup information management tool for GNOME. It combines e-mail, calendar, address book, and task list management functions. It has been an official part of GNOME since version 2.8. Evolution development is sponsored primarily by Novell. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evolution_(Software)

Evolution is a science fiction book by author Stephen Baxter. The book follows 565 million years of human evolution, from shrewlike mammals 65 million years in the past to the ultimate fate of humanity (and its descendants, both biological and non-biological) 500 million years in the future. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evolution_(Stephen_Baxter)
Evolution is a heel stable on World Wrestling Entertainment's RAW Brand. Evolution originally consisted of Triple H, Ric Flair, Batista, and Randy Orton. Many consider Evolution to be a good reincarnation of the Four Horsemen stable that was made famous in the NWA and WCW. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evolution_(professional_wrestling)

The theory of evolution as initially formulated by Charles Darwin in 1859 is the central theory of biology. All processes that enable life are the result of the process of evolution over a period estimated to be more than 3 billion years. The mechanism of evolution are mutation and natural selection. These two processes result in changes at the genetic (mutation) and physiological level (selection of function). www.whatislife.com/glossary.htm

I'm convinced that emergent complexity and evolutionary natural selection explains the origins of life and consciousness in the universe. Evolution accounts for how we got here and why we are the way that we are. I'm opposed to the teaching of supernatural creationism in schools. I sympathize with those who do not understand evolution or whose religion discourages them from understanding it. I encourage everyone to learn more about evolution to better understand and appreciate the amazing and wonderful splendor that has evolved and how fortunate we are to be alive. Thank goodness!
