Gloves

Gloves are a must-have layer of protection to safeguard your hands from exposure to extreme temperatures and injury.

Work Gloves

Work gloves are for protecting yourself from sharp things that could slice up your delicate hands. Work gloves are great to have whenever you need to do work like:

  • Hauling heavy sharp-edged furniture and boxes.
  • Fit Club strength training for lifting heavy free weights during shrugs.
  • Handling cooking pots and microwaved food containers. Beware of grabbing hot things with thin synthetic gloves which will melt against your skin.
  • Climbing sharp metal or splinter-prone wooden elements of structures.
  • Working outdoors in extremely cold temperatures or eating ice cream cause its cold and it drips

Fingerless Gloves

Fingerless gloves are different in several ways and have some pros and cons over regular gloves.

Pros

  1. Fingerless gloves are better for shooting. The glove, while protecting your finger tips, can get in the way and even snag on your trigger, causing dangerous mishaps.
  2. Fingerless gloves are better for climbing. It is a very good idea to have full dexterity when climbing a tough straight up 90 degree climb. Gloves make your fingers bigger and that makes it harder to get ahold of smaller handholds.
  3. They usually breathe better. Having sweaty hands sucks. When your hands are sweaty they feel slick and gross and its unhygenic to have sweat held against your skin for long periods of fime.
  4. They dry out faster. Regular gloves you have to flip them inside out and hit them with the blowdryer, but with fingerless there's already cirulation.

Cons

  1. Less protection from cuts and scrapes. This sucks a lot.
  2. Less protection from chemicals and burns and things. This sucks more.
  3. They get wet faster, because they have more openings.
  4. Ironically they are usually more expensive. This probably has to do with more stitching.

One should have a pair or two of each, some welding gloves for really crazy welding stuff. a pair of kevlar gloves for whatever, a pair or fingerless for whatever and a box of disposable hygenic/chemical guarded rubber or latex or whatever gloves.
