Some things need a differend methode of learning them.
Also there many different things that influence how we learn some thing personaly the best way.
Especial as a Visual-Spatial Learner and thinker the generic learning methodes don't work well comparred with some uncommon others.
On the other hand it gave some ability to intuitive understand and get a feeling for complex systems that work in systemic relationships.

I spent a some time studying education during my two-year degree; principles of developmental psychology, neurophysiology, and educational environments gave me the tools necessary to pick up almost any subject quickly and comfortably.
In my opinion, autodidactism is one of the most fundamentally important practices that any human being can acquire.
