Lighting
Lighting brightens your home and office which makes you happier and more productive.
A workspace needs at least 2 adjustable pole uplamps of 300W or greater to provide adequate lighting for video and reading.
"To achieve an average of 278-350 lux, a short time (e.g., under 1 hour) is spent in bright daylight of several thousand lux, and much of the rest of waking time (even during the daylight hours) is spent below 100 lux.
Below the median daytime illumination, we have found that more people report depression. For some people, less than an hour of daylight seems insufficient to uphold their mood and may be a cause of depression."

"Sitting humbly on shelves in stores everywhere is a product, priced at less than $3, that will change the world. Soon. It is a fairly ordinary item that nonetheless cuts to the heart of a half-dozen of the most profound, most urgent problems we face. Energy consumption. Rising gasoline costs and electric bills. Greenhouse-gas emissions. Dependence on coal and foreign oil. Global warming."
