Stop the North American Union!
lxpk’s personal idea (something lxpk believes)

Groups: North American UnionI'm concerned about the proposed North American Union that would merge significant aspects of Canada, the United States and Mexico into one continental federation. Having lived in Canada and the United States before, I feel there are pros and cons of each nation and I think it would be a mistake to try to combine them politically. Canadians, Americans and Mexicans want different things and they have a right to vote for their own governments and policies to reflect their needs. We shouldn't all be smooshed together into one undemocratic superunion just because a lot of rich business people think it will make their corporations more profitable.

hmm
At this point we can build
Vote right! Spread the word
Right. We need to build awareness about the North American Union, because our media is no.
This is big news, yet American news brushes over it, and doesnt make it an issue. The Media is not invited to the secret meetings held by the elites, Big Business, and the Security and Prosparity Partnership.
The most important thing that each of us can do to help fight the current North American Union conspiracy, is to NOT vote for a president who has any association with neo-conservatism, the bush administration, or "Security and prosparity partnership"
Americans need to vote for a president who will not be bought by economic and political greed. We need to have faith in the democratic system, and show public disapproval of the merge of Canada Mexico and America.
Another imporant thing to understand is that the idea of a North American Union does not have to be a bad thing. BUT how they are currently implementing it is through secrecy, corporate greed, political power, and as a stepping stone for creating one gobal government for the earth.
In order to preserve the constitution, democrasy in America, and many other freedoms we take for granted, the people of America must oppose the North American Union!
Awareness will build its own momentum BUT
Hillary, Obama and their Neo-con alternatives are on the same page. You can't vote for an opposing voice if he or she is not on the ballot. :)
It sounds like Bulbmedia is endorsing Ron Paul.
From a limey standpoint......
This is indeed a scary issue.
However, there are a few points to consider....
a - there is already a shadowy union between the US and Canada, given the interesting 'corporate' copyright and DRM laws that have been passed, as well as all the interesting economic agreements between the two.
b - Canada is still part of the British Commonwealth and Queen Elizabeth II is nominally the head of state (the reason Canada has a prime minister, rather than a president). Not that this will stop the americans, if they are really determined, but this would mean that a formal union would have to be very publicly negotiated wit hthe UK before any such merger were to occur.
c - Quebec is yet another issue. It is nominally french, and they don't take kindly to their colonies being siezed.
Therefore, I would postulate, that there will be a long period of the US 'leaning' on Canada and using her to subtly change laws beforehand, to experiment with legislation, and secure preferential access to natrual resources.
All the actions taken will be fairly clandestine for the forseeable future. It would be interesting to get some sort of quote from the US president, the french president, and the british prime minister, and see it we can get a straight answer from any of them, to the effect that they can be forced to own up about this, or be proven liars in years to come.
The first thing to do is secure documentation and public domain media. I agree that increased public awareness of the possibility may well be the first step. Any plan to get this up and running would certainly be worth a look.
