Collectivism
I belive in the power of many autonomous hands. I firmly beleive that the efforts of many peers, working out of a desire to do so and not out of involentary management, is the best way to make the most effective use of skills.
Eisenhower said in his farewell speech :
"Today, the solitary inventor, tinkering in his shop, has been over shadowed by task forces of scientists in laboratories and testing fields."
This was true in the 50's, and is CONSIDERABLY more true today. Video games, cars, and computers are no longer designed and built by individuals but teams of people with a wide assortment of skill portfolios coordinating on objectives.
The type of collectivism that I beleive in is a collective of free individual volenteers who are able to coordinate themselves in a way that requires absolutely no administration.
Most skills are learned without the knowledge in how that skill will practically interoperate with other disciplines. These gaps mean that people will continue requiring management in their skill application in order to provide coordination services.
In the future I beleive that people will learn not only the skillsets that they are passionate about but will also be responsible for learning how to use their skills in a team environment.
I have faith that in the future humans will learn to work in groups effectively without sacrificing their individualism.

We must learn to cooperate. All else may depend on it.
