Demonstrating

Demonstrations typically have four audiences:

1. The target of your demonstration.
2. People who see your demonstration in the media.
3. People who see it live.
4. People who participate.
   

The worst way to learn how to demonstrate is to read conservative media about how progressives demonstrate, then go out and do what they say we do! There's a lot of this that happens, without people realizing. Gandhian inspired loving people will try to show the world their heart, and the press will say they're rabble-rousers, and so all the angry people show up.

One of the best techniques is to walk off into the crowd around the event, not carrying a sign. What are they saying? If they're not getting it, don't get angry, change your demonstration!
