Today there is so much information and distraction that many modern people have a hard time focusing on needs. Or separating the endless desires that corporations promote in order to sell stuff.

I turns out that we organize best when we are organizing to meet immediate needs. Logically, there are organizational efforts that can be undertaken today that will make tomorrows needs easier, or even possible to meet. Corporations have done this for us for decades now and much of what I see at theempowerment.com is designed to reduce dependence on the corporate structure. This is good because if our society fails, it fails and our needs are unmet. But what about action taken premptively, as members of this society to use what we have now to intervene in the vulnerability by using the extant mechanisms of our society to usurp control at key points beginning with media and this knowledge of our instincts as they relate to our ability to cooperate when our needs are at stake?.
The facilitation skill I wield is creating focus on our needs for members of our society as a tool that can unify us and make our efforts more effective by bringing more and more people into this understanding which broadens the scope of needs we can address.
I have a 400 watt PA and a 1kw generator (very quiet) that can be moved anywhere a few people can pull a 5 foot wide cart with flotation tires and the 500LB system/stuff on it. I can take this over 8 inch curbs by myself and 5% grade on the beach. This facilitates an open mic situation for speakers as well as music to bring a less formal value to a gathering.
Santa Barbara city beaches and fire regulations allow a 3 foot DIA. fire 18 inches high between 4AM and 10PM in a steel container as long as food is being cooked in it.
