Platform: Gameboy DS

Hands-On Training

Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney is not an open-ended game and reviewers complain that you must do everything in predetermined correct sequence, but you do get to excercise judgement to discover the correct moves.

Puzzle Gameplay

Puzzle: Like adventure games of old, you solve puzzles by deducing the correct course of action.

Realism: Sensationalized

The courtroom drama would make real lawyers cringe, but it makes for an entertaining experience to general gamers.

Combative Atmosphere

"There's an aspect of the game's atmosphere, most noticeable within the sound effects, that makes Phoenix Wright almost feel like a fighting game. The cross-examination graphic shows the two attorneys going head-to-head, and the sound of unsheathing swords plays during moments of conflict. It's this facet of the presentation that makes the game feel really unique and much more compelling than your average adventure game, and it gives you the incentive to really want to win each case."

Gamers Love Figuring It Out

"I swear, the feeling you get when you pin down a witness in his/her lie and subsequently pwn the witness AND the prosecutor has to be one of the GREATEST feelings you can have when playing a game, nya. The sheer boost to your self-esteem knowing that you figured it out all by yourself is like a natural high, nya. In the later episodes, you'll constantly be on the "losing" side, fighting the current upstream"
