Slingshot Organizer Book
The Long Haul Infoshop in Berkeley, CA is home to the Slingshot collective, an amazing group of people who put out a radical newspaper and create a yearly planner datebook. This is one of the most compact, creative, and inspiring planners in human history. It's a small planner- it's total size is about the dimentions of a 1/4 sheet of paper (plus it has some additional width, obviously). The best part about it is that every day, there's a historical list of radical, progressive or inspiring things that happened in history. For example, tomorrow, June 29 says: 1972, Supreme court bans death penalty as "cruel and unusual punishment" which is later reversed; 2008, Lesbian Gay Bi Trans Intersex Pride Day (San Francisco). Every day has a few things to remind you of present and past struggles, which to me is quite inspiring.
I've got one in the "Black Tuesday" color with the silver font. I got it around the new year and have used it so many times since!
