I've come across two like-minded initiatives that are both somewhat narrower than what we have in mind for Code Corps.
Coders Without Borders
A project was started in 2005 called Coders WIthout Borders that may not have been completed.

The Code Aid Project
The basic idea of the Code Aid project is to take on small projects for developing economies and organizations working with those economies. The software we will develop will be licensed under GPL; this means that even if we develop a specific solution for a specific cause the software may be used by others to aid similar causes.

Geekcorps
The Geekcorps project shares much with CodeCorps. Ideally, Geekcorps would be more like the Peace Corps and CodeCorps would be more like AmeriCorps. While Geekcorps would be focused on infrastructure-building in developing countries, CodeCorps would focus on coding the actual software, particularly educational software. They are both noble efforts toward a similar end.
