Qualifying
Standardized Qualifications
There are certain ACTSPEC qualifications for various skills that are standardized regardless of who is administering the qualification. These qualifications provide universal benchmarks by which to measure yourself against others who have taken the same tests.
- Some qualifications are simply passes or failures
- Some qualifications have scores with a minimum passing score and grades
Self-Qualification
Learners can self-qualify themselves for their own confidence building or to practice for certification.
Certified Qualification Instructors
It is usually preferable to be qualified by an instructor who offers certified qualification.
Group Qualification
Activist groups may wish to qualify their members before assigning them missions and responsibilities.
Qualification rituals may vary. Some organizations may offer a special group membership qualification covering a skillset and mastery of group practices. Sometimes a group member handbook is issed and the qualified graduate signs the handbook to signify commitment to its guidelines.
This resembles employee handbooks in organizations.
Some sets of requirements may be designated as waveable by group authorities.
Example: ACTFOR Qualification
To qualify for ACTFOR membership, you have to talk to LXPK and indicate interest in contributing to Empowerment.
Simulation Qualification
You can be tested on yout skills through the course of a simulation.
Qualification Renewal
Skills degrade with disuse and memories fade with time. Regular review is essential to renew one's qualifications.
Renewal Schedule
Required Renewals are scheduled before qualification becomes lapsed or expired. New technology and upgrades to the curriculum covered by a qualification can also trigger the need for renewals to keep practitioners updated with the latest techniques.
