Learn how to buy and supply the right stuff to the people who need it quickly and cheaply.

Figure out what people need and how to buy the best stuff quickly and cheaply.

You'll need to get equipment required for prepositioning capabilities and immediate mission requirements.

Self-equipping

Most people must self-equip with whatever they need to be effective operators.

Organized Supplying

Corporations, organizations and recruiters may have the resources and systems in place for [[provisioning]] their personnel with equipment.

Acquisition

Getting the kit you need can be done in stores or by ordering online.

Ordering Online

Cheap ground shipping can take up to two weeks, so pay for expedited delivery if you can't wait that long.

Price Protection

Use priceprotectr.com when you buy something from Amazon, Backcountry.com, Best Buy, Circuit City, Costco, Future Shop, Jenson USA, Office Max, Sears, or Target.

Supplying Recruits

When you recruit someone new to activism they will need equipment. Use the recruiting system to assist with this process.

  1. First identify what their needs are. This depends on their areas of interest and likely activities. For example, if you are tabling, they may need bindering kit to work with you or Tabling Kit to do their own independent tabling.
  2. Once you know what they need, determine what they already have. They may have many of the ingredients of the kits they need already. Some of their items may not be ACTSPEC but they can serve well enough and keep costs down.
  3. If you have any extra recruitment kits, you can give them the whole thing or cannibalize just the parts they need.
  4. Whatever they don't have and you can't give them, they can self-equip. Determine the best plan for them to shop for needed items themselves.

Supplying Examples

  • In Ukraine, Orange Revolution planners distributed thousands of cameras to volunteer election monitors to document anticipated electoral fraud by the Soviet-backed regime.

An ACTSPEC Acquisition System

Getting stuff from a variety of vendors can be complicated and time-consuming. ACTSPEC Acquisition will automate your shopping list creation and management.

You choose a mission and the tech requirements are compared with your inventory and matched up or requisitioned.

Profiling inventory is accomplished with a big checklist of common useful items to go over.

Your profile contains the inventory you own.

Your group's profile has a list of 6th line shared items. You can see matches between personnel's kit and the mission and assign appropriately equipped and trained people.

Quartermastering

Shopping around for all the survival kit is a time-consuming affair that smacks of effort!

It makes sense to create ACTSPEC Kits that can be bought in bulk and sold as complete boxed kits for less than all the retail items.

These items can be bought by donors for activist groups that request needed items, much as military units request equipment from their quartermasters.

It's like buying school supplies every year.

Sellers can also play a role by supporting empowerment supplying efforts. Retailers have programs like this one at Powermax to make it easier for military personnel to have their purchases shipped to their facilities.
