Tabling Kit

The tabling kit is a carryable set of equipment any activist can own or share enabling them to table at will.

Unless you reserve prepositioned tables from your venue, you need to bring your own. You’ll need tables and chairs to set up your doers. You can also provide seats for visitors if you want them to stay and talk comfortably. Several tables can be combined to form a larger surface with a single table cover draped over top. The table cover should have signage.

Folding Table

The plastic folding table is a sturdy fourth-line drivable mobile tabling platform. It is too large to carry around on your back, but it fits in the trunks of most vehicles.

The image “http://www.globalindustrial.com/images/picgroup/7066.jpg” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.

Pluses: lightweight, impact-resistant folding tables, one-piece plastic top, virtually stain proof (resists paint, permanent marker, gasoline, paint remover, battery acid and drain cleaner), steel frame has automatic gravity leg locks, no-mar foot caps

Minuses: Not perfectly flat everywhere.

Length/Width/Height: 72x30x29" (any larger wouldn't fit in most trunks)

Event Tent

The event tent is a shelter that is optimal for covering outdoor tabling activities and other activist events. A human-carryable light shelter that sets up in seconds or minutes. An event tent is must-have kit for any serious organizer.
Lighting is an essential. It is very dark inside of a fully enclosed shelter at night. You need batteries and lights to illuminate things. You need an overnight source to power computers during the evening or you need a strict policy of daylight hour maximization which is difficult in the winter months. You probably need the steel shelters to withstand Burning Man’s stronger winds.
