Tabling Kit Testing

Several tables were tested  for ACTSPEC suitability.

Coleman Compact Table

Brittle plastic construction was such that it arrived broken in the box. Even if it had worked it had holes between its surface slats, making it dangerously easy to loose small objects through the cracks. FAIL.

MAC Folding Chairs

This ubiquitous folding chair design is prone to failure. The plastic through which a screw threats to either side of the backing wears out and rips, leaving the chair backing compromised. FAIL.

A field-expedient repair is to add washers between the screws and the plastic to ensure a tight secure fit that won't wear out.

Field-Expedient Improvised Washers 

If you don't have metal washers handy, three layers of clear packaging plastic pierced by the screw will act as a field-expedient improvised washer.
