While some of the assumptions made about bisexuals may sometimes be true, I think there are so many committed, loving, open bisexuals that this is a harmful belief. I hear it a lot in college and high school settings- whenever two girls kiss (especially if they're drunk or having fun at a party), men will make fun of them and say things like, they're just trying to turn us on, and that they're just slutty straight girls. I think many people have the attitude that bisexuals are slutty or unparticular about who they date, and that is a really rude assumption. I think it's harmful that comments about what bisexuals want, like, or need are coming from people who are not them and don't necessarily even know any open bisexals. Likewise, some reality shows (like Tilla Tequilla, where a bi woman takes a bunch of women and men on dates and chooses one to date/marry, but has the woman she picks turn out to be a "fake lesbian") stereotype bisexual women as slutty. Another harmful thing is that many people seem to see the issue of queerness as black or white, especially for men. People either assume that if a man is with a woman, he is straight, and if he's with a man, that he's gay, but it often doesn't even cross their mind that he could be bisexual.

 Biphobia is the dislike or hatred of bisexual people.

While it seems less common than straight out homophobia, it's refrenced to a bit in gay communities. Biphobia comes from these misconceptions:

-Bisexual people are more slutty or more likely to cheat

-Bisexual people are never satisfied in mongamous relationships

-Bisexual people are just straight people who like playing around with the same sex to be different or to get attention, but have no real attraction towards the same sex

-Bisexuals are just closet gays 

-Bisexual girls only do sexual things with girls to get attention from men 

-Bisexual men have uncontrollable desires for sex and are full of STDs

-Bisexual people are not picky or choosy about who they date or have sex with

These attitudes aren't spoken outwardly much, but are implied. Some bisexuals have reported feeling shunned in some LBGTQ rights groups, since some gays and lesbians feel like bisexuals are not as comitted to the gay rights struggle as they are.
