Aren't we all acting, just a little bit, all the time?  I'm quite fond of classical liberal arts studies, as impractical as they may seem. Acting, however, teaches you timing and gives you the ability to edit your behavior to fit all kinds of different social situations. It is an integral skill, and a common ability among people successful at networking.
