| Straight Edge | Straight Edge | Criticism | Straight Edge is often seen as anti-drug, anti-alcohol, and not simply abstaining from the two. If some one says they are straight edge, then they also imply that they try to stick more around those who have adopted the straight edge lifestyle. It is often seen as taboo to hang out with gutter-punks, or anyone who is drinking or getting high. My question is why? Why can't straight edgers sit down with kids who are stoned out of their minds, or drunk as hell? Just because they do not abstain from drugs and alcohol does not mean they should be looked down upon, or the straight edger to put themselves on a pedestal.
